Studio Ideas and Inspiration

I stumbled across these shoes a while ago, and i thought they might be interesting to share with the group.  Architecture isn’t everything, but everything can be architecture.  I think these shoes designed by Zaha Hadid really show that concept in action.  Due to come out in July, the shoe design for Lacoste is based off their crocodile logo, and wraps around the leg and foot ergonomically so they can adapt to movement.

Hadid has also designed architectural heels for the Brazillian shoe company Melissa. These shoes are environmentally concious.  They are made in several colours and retail for around $200.

Both shoe designs show off her signature style of organic lines and diagonals, and use moder materials like plastics.  These shoes blur the lines between fashion and architecture.
