Last week I posted an image of an astronaut on a 12th century cathedral. Well Here is the explanation. The building may have been built in 1102, but the detailed stonework, including the astronaut, was done more recently, during renovations in 1992, as is the case for many such buildings. This is a good example of how changes in society change buildings. As architects it can only be beneficial to consider future changes. What can a building become after it is built?
